I hope you are all still basking in the excitement from Grant Award Night and celebrating the impact that we are making in our community through the $640,000 in grants that we awarded. I want to congratulate all the High Impact Grant and Support Grant recipients and thank them for their unending commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people they serve. I’m also sending kudos to every Impact San Antonio member for helping make this year’s Grant Award Night absolutely magical.
All the GAN excitement, and maybe a few Christmas movies, have already kicked me into the holiday spirit! In one of the movies, each character shared with the others what they were grateful for, and I would like to share my gratitude with each of you.
I am thankful for being a member of an organization that cares about others and works hard to make a difference in the lives of those who need a helping hand. I am thankful for the opportunity you have given me over the past two years to serve as president of this amazing organization — helping me to step out of my comfort zone and develop skills I never thought I possessed.
I am thankful for all the wonderful people this organization has put in my path, from fellow members to agency representatives to guests and friends. You have all left a mark on my heart, and I am so much better because of you.
As we head into the holiday season, I hope all of you will be able to celebrate those things in your life that fill you with gratitude, while also supporting those around you and giving them an opportunity to feel grateful, too. That kind of gratitude is part of Impact San Antonio’s strength, and it has been an honor to be a part of it.
