I’m excited and proud to share that Impact San Antonio will be awarding High Impact Grants to five area nonprofits in 2024 – for the seventh year in a row! And, as a bonus – we will also be awarding support grants to the other five finalists. The total grant pool and final membership numbers are still being calculated and will be announced soon. This achievement was made possible by the tremendous response we received from renewing members and over 94 new members.
Impact San Antonio’s member retention rate year over year of around 80 percent and the realization of our 500+ member goal demonstrates what can be achieved when women come together with generous hearts, around a shared purpose of making a significant difference in our community. This week I saw firsthand how one of our impactful grants is transforming lives in the Greater San Antonio area. I had the opportunity to celebrate Wonder Theatre’s new facility at Wonderland of Americas Mall by participating as a member of Impact SA in their ribbon cutting. 
The former Bijou movie theater is a more expansive place for them to implement their 2023 High Impact Grant to engage and inspire at-risk youth, senior citizens, intellectually disabled individuals and LGBTQ+youth through tailored outreach programs to marginalized populations throughout San Antonio.
Through our amazing giving circle, we continue to celebrate and empower the many remarkable agencies that are helping so many in our community. I can’t wait to see which projects capture the hearts and imagination of our grant reviewers and members this year.
Finally, I want to thank Impact SA’s board of directors and volunteers. They have earned our heartfelt appreciation for their hard work during the 2024 recruitment season as we celebrate our 20th year of women making a difference.
