Holly Ward

I was introduced to Impact San Antonio at a D.A.R. lunch presentation and was very impressed with the organization.  I joined in the Spring of 2020, amid the pandemic, and immediately immersed myself on a “zoom” Grant Review Committee. The experience opened my eyes to how many incredible non-profits we have in San Antonio.  I witnessed the impact that this organization had in our community and knew I wanted to immerse myself more!

Holly is the daughter of a WWII Bomber Pilot. Their family moved often before her parents finally settled in San Antonio when she was 8 years old.  Holly graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State).

Holly worked in management with the J.C. Penney Co. for many years until her entrepreneur spirit took over.  She and a partner started a business that assisted high school alumni with all aspects of planning a high school reunion.  Holly was offered a territory position with a division of Hallmark and promoted to National Training Manager for Field Sales.  This role involved working with many major retailers on their greeting card programs.  Holly was then recruited by the BBC to work with their Regional U.S. sales team.  She was also President of a brokerage company, MBW Financial, before officially retiring from the workforce.

After retirement, Holly and her husband, Brant, embarked in their motorhome and traveled the U.S..  Although they traveled all over the world with their careers, Holly realized she had never seen the Grand Canyon!  Their two pups, Rita and Cheyenne, join them on their travels.  Holly and Brant have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren who all live in the San Antonio area and keep them busy!

After joining Impact San Antonio, Holly served on Grant Review Committees each year and was asked to be a High Impact Liaison in 2021.  She has volunteered routinely with many Impact San Antonio events and will again be a Liaison for a 2024 High Impact recipient.  Holly has also served on grant review committees with the San Antonio Area Foundation supporting the Women and Girl’s Development Fund.   She looks forward to working with the amazing group of dedicated ladies on the Impact San Antonio board as Co-Chair of Volunteers.
