Impact SA is still reeling over this very special trio! Here’s what they have to say about being members of our organization.
When and how did you first hear about Impact San Antonio?
Allison, 17: “My Mom told me about Impact San Antonio when she was on the Arts & Culture grant application review committee. She said it was interesting and that she was learning a lot.”
When and why did you join?
Elizabeth: “My former boss and mentor, Martha Mitchell, invited me to Spring Fling and I was so impressed and inspired by the difference this women’s collective makes in San Antonio.”
What impresses and inspires you about Impact SA?
Caryl, 82: “The fact that this is a 100% volunteer-led organization- and that year after year high-impact grants are awarded that make a profound positive difference in our community.”
What volunteer roles have you taken on so far?
Elizabeth: “I’ve been on the grant review committee and briefly served as co-chair for one of the Board committees. I would love to serve on another committee in the future.”
What do/did you do for a living?
Allison: I’m a student at Alamo Heights High School
Elizabeth: I am the Sr. Director at The Center for Health Care Services, our local mental health authority.
Caryl: I’m a retired Professor Emeritus (microbiology), Texas Tech University
