The women of Impact San Antonio are making history. For 20 years, we have sustained and grown a philanthropic model that at its heart is the power of women working together to have a significant and long-term impact in our community.
This amazing legacy was launched in 2004 by a cadre of 25 forward-thinking women who set out to do more for our community. Since then, Impact SA has grown from a small women’s giving circle into one of the largest women’s philanthropic organizations of its type in our region. 
Our founder, Kelly Hutchison (who now lives in Tallahassee, Florida), says they were inspired to contribute beyond their volunteer time. It was inspiring to hear her words as we shared this video message at our membership and 20th Anniversary Kickoff event last month.
Impact SA’s tremendous growth is the result of women working together to make a difference. We’ve awarded more than $5.9 million in grants to more than 120 area nonprofits over the past 20 years. We recognize that the needs of our community persist, and we can and should do more.
Year after year, the women of Impact San Antonio multiply their generosity by combining members’ contributions. Together we can have a far greater impact than we can as individuals. As we build the 2024 membership and grant pool, we say thank you to those who have already joined or renewed. So far, we have funded two $100,000 grants for 2024. And we are not finished yet. Each new and renewing membership puts us closer to our goal of funding five $100,000 High Impact Grants.
