I have had the privilege of watching the great work of Impact San Antonio for many years. As soon as I retired in 2021, I had no doubt how I would spend my time. Giving back! I joined Impact San Antonio right away, and raised my hand for Grant Review Committee. Through that committee work, I learned so much about the needs of our amazing community, that I signed up again to work in Grant Review in 2022. The mission of this organization is so compelling, and the difference we make so incredibly important in the lives of those who most need us, I just couldn’t turn down an opportunity to increase my involvement and serve in a Board capacity. I remain inspired by the women of Impact San Antonio, and honored to play a role in addressing the needs of our beautiful and diverse city.
Annmarie was born in New York, raised in Illinois, and (as they say) “got to Texas as soon as she could.” She can now say she’s spent more than half her life in the Lone Star State, and after a brief stint in Houston, is proud to call San Antonio home.
Annmarie retired in 2021 after a 40 year working career, the last 30 years spent as an attorney specializing in litigation. She considers herself blessed to have ended her career in the Chief Legal Office and Insurance departments at USAA, where she spent 22 years in executive leadership roles and met more than a few awesome Impact San Antonio members!
Annmarie is a health enthusiast, committed to staying active and healthy in her retirement. She loves vigorous walks, challenging hikes, and strength training. She is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan! She is happily married to Jeff, and has three adult children – her son Michael, and her stepchildren Chelsea and Michael J.
