Have you ever considered hosting a party to tell your friends about Impact San Antonio? You don’t have to worry about social distancing — you can hold a party on Zoom that’s fun and easy!
There are plenty of advantages to holding an online party: you don’t have to clean your house, guests provide their own refreshments, and best of all, no one will know you’re wearing yoga pants under that nice top.
Since the pandemic began, Impact SA has moved all our events online, including hosted parties where you can introduce your friends to Impact SA and our special brand of collective generosity. Members of our leadership can participate, and video clips from some of our grantee agencies will be available. Hosted parties are important because every new or renewing member means more funds for our 2021 grants!
Member Susan Sheehan held a hosted party on Zoom last fall, complete with a variety of speakers from our leadership and a video on what we do. Of the eight guests who took part, all but one joined Impact SA.
“A Zoom house party is really fun and easy to do,” she said. “The Membership Committee is a huge help. They handle all the technicalities, so about the only thing the hostess has to do is provide the guest list. Board members are always eager to participate and share information. Plus seeing everyone in their home makes it a personal experience.”
You can add your own touches, she added, such as delivering goodie bags to your guests and holding icebreaker activities at the beginning of the party.
