Impact San Antonio is halfway to our goal of awarding one High Impact Grant of $100,000 in each of our five focus areas. This means we need 250 more memberships by May 31, which is only six weeks away. We’re counting on you to help us get there!
Typically, more than 70 percent of our members renew each year. That is unusually high for donor retention, which tells us that what we do and how we do it is unique, compelling and effective. Our model of pooling member donations to award significant grants to local nonprofits to address a broad set of needs is really powerful.
Even with that high member retention rate, we also focus on bringing in new members each year, and then encourage them to share the power of Impact SA with their networks.
Word-of-mouth enthusiasm from existing members who have direct experience with Impact SA is what really convinces new women to become members. You are our best advocates!

Plus, the sooner you renew or join, the sooner you can reserve a spot on one of our grant review committees that evaluates all the grant applications in a specific focus area. This is our most popular volunteer opportunity, and the available slots fill up quickly. Members will be notified shortly via email to sign up.
Our next event — our first opportunity to be together in person for more than a year — is Spring Fling on May 10 at 5:30pm at The Veranda. It will be a wonderful way to reconnect with friends you haven’t seen in while and bring other interested women in your network to experience what we’re all about. We’ll be holding the event outdoors, with social distancing observed to keep everyone safe. We’ll also share our legacy of making a difference in the community over our 16-year history.
