Our Grant Award Night this year showed the power of women coming together to make a significant difference in our community!
Thanks to our members’ generous contributions, we were able to award $535,000 in grant funds this year. Five nonprofit agencies — one in each of our focus areas — received $100,000 High Impact Grants. The remaining five finalists each received a $7,000 Support Grant. The Impact SA community got to participate in the event in person on the beautiful grounds of the Witte Museum and via live stream on our YouTube page. Around 250 people enjoyed the festivities in person, and nearly 250 more folks tuned in to the livestream.
Regardless of how they attended, members experienced plenty of excitement. In-person attendees sampled desserts and sparkling drinks to the lively music of Mojo-Rimba, a student marimba band from Judson ISD.
As an introduction to every focus area’s finalist presentation videos, each 2020 High Impact Grant recipient in that focus area gave a brief update on how their projects are progressing.
