Magnolia Pancake Haus

My grandfather used to say that giving back to the community is how you “pay for the space you take up in this world.” My father lived by that philosophy as well. When I saw the transformative work of Impact SA, I knew it was the perfect fit for Magnolia Pancake Haus—a way for us to honor that family legacy while making a big difference.

Please tell us about your business and mission.

Our Mission is, “To create a dining experience so enjoyable the guest can’t wait to come back!” We strive every day to align with our mission statement and core values for our guests and associates, and to provide a place where people can come together to enjoy a great meal with great service! We like to think that pancakes can make any situation a little bit better!

How did you learn about Impact San Antonio?

I first learned about Impact SA in 2023 through a business group I belong to. A fellow business owner shared that his mother was involved with this incredible organization, which gives back in a big way to local nonprofits. I was immediately intrigued—especially since we had just launched our own Haus Family Foundation—and wanted to learn more. After attending Grant Award Night, I was inspired to be part of such a meaningful mission.

Why did you decide to sponsor the organization?

My grandfather used to say that giving back to the community is how you “pay for the space you take up in this world.” My father lived by that philosophy as well. When I saw the transformative work of Impact SA, I knew it was the perfect fit for Magnolia Pancake Haus—a way for us to honor that family legacy while making a big difference.

What impresses you about Impact San Antonio?

I’m inspired by how women from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life come together, build lasting friendships, and join forces to make a tangible difference in our community.

Tell us about your role at Magnolia Pancake Haus. What do you enjoy about your work?

I have the privilege of serving as president of Magnolia Pancake Haus since taking over for my father in 2018. Over the years, I’ve worked every position within the company—and still do when the times call for it. What I love most about my work comes down to two things:

  • Watching our associates grow and thrive. Many have been with us for years (and some for over a decade), working their way from hostess and line cook to General Manager and Chef. Seeing their growth is incredibly rewarding, and knowing that we can provide a place for people to grow and become the person they want to be.
  • Witnessing the joy a great meal brings. Guests often tell us dining here feels like being at their grandma’s house, and to me, there’s no greater compliment!
