Hello Impact San Antonio members! I am pleased to return for a second year as President of the Board of Directors. We have big goals again this year—awarding five $100,000 grants, creating a three-year strategic plan, supporting our current grantees, and yes, having a little fun along the way.
Now more than ever, it feels important to take action toward strengthening our communities. The problems of this world seem too large or too far away for us to solve. But what we do here matters. By being part of this giving circle, we make a real difference in ways that aren’t often visible but are deeply meaningful. By pooling our membership dollars, we can fund sizeable grants that can be truly transformational. Focusing on our own backyard is one very real, very doable way to make the world better. We may not fix everything, but we can do the next right thing — one member at a time, one issue at a time, one action at a time.
If you haven’t renewed your membership, now is the time! If you have a friend, colleague, or family member who might enjoy being a part of Impact San Antonio, invite them as a guest to an upcoming event. We have another fantastic year ahead — Agency in Action events, Spring Fling, Socials and more. You’ll see your favorite traditions plus a few new members-only offerings we’re excited about.
And for those who can’t commit to full membership this year, please encourage them to become a Friend of Impact by donating here. Every donation, no matter the size, helps secure funding for nonprofits doing incredible work for our community.
Because our board continuously seeks ways to balance the workload of our amazing volunteers while keeping the membership at large informed and engaged, our newsletter schedule will now be bimonthly. We believe this change will do us all well.
