Impact San Antonio recently was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Dela Wright White Foundation. In 1947, Dela White established Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children, which was the recipient of a 2020 High Impact Grant from Impact SA to expand their loaner hearing aid program.
“Impact San Antonio is most grateful for this generous donation from the Dela Wright White Foundation, said Impact SA President Jennifer Bennett. “These funds will enable us to continue bringing big-hearted and generous women together to make a significant difference in our community.”
Foundation Trustee John H. White Jr. said he had been impressed with Impact SA since members Barbara Stueve and Beverley McClure told him about the organization in 2016.
“We appreciate how Impact SA encourages and empowers women to increase their community involvement through transformational grant-giving,” he said.
The trust was established by Dela White in 2007, and since then it has given a total of $5.4 million in contributions to area nonprofit organizations.
