To many folks, when they hear the word fiesta, they think of a party, a festival, or a celebration. For those of us who are a part of the San Antonio community, Fiesta means this and so much more. It is an opportunity to celebrate the many cultures of our area and raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.
As we head into Fiesta, it got me thinking that Impact San Antonio has many similarities to Fiesta. The Battle of Flowers parade is planned and directed by women, and Impact San Antonio is a women-run organization. Impact San Antonio members generously pool their funds to provide grants to support agencies’ impactful projects, and we hold Grant Award Night in October to celebrate these agencies and their projects.
Thanks to the wonderful women who have already joined or renewed their Impact San Antonio memberships for 2023, so far, we will be able to award at least three $100,000 High Impact Grants. So, as we continue to hold membership recruitment events leading into our May 15 membership deadline, I encourage you to join in the celebration and help us meet or exceed our goal of raising $500,000+ to provide impactful grants to continue to support and improve our community.
