Many of you attend our events throughout the year. Now, we could use your help in taking photos at events with your cellphones that we can use online.
Photos are an effective way to tell our story, so we try to have at least one member volunteer take photos at our events. We have created a new email group to alert potential “point and shoot” photographers that we could use help at upcoming events.
At our larger events, we hire professional photographers, but member volunteers help capture a different perspective. Our volunteer photographers document our events and capture their impact by taking candid and posed photos of attendees and other volunteers. We post the photos on social media, our website and in press releases and other materials.
You don’t have to be formally trained – just a good eye. If you sign up to take photographs at a particular event, we will provide you with additional instructions and we will coordinate with you to transfer your photos.
