The signs of Spring are all around us, reminding us of the season’s promise of renewal. Impact San Antonio must also renew and grow its membership each year to be able to award $100,000 grants in each of the five focus areas.
This past week, a few of us were fortunate to see in person the good these funds do for our community. We visited House of Neighborly Service, which received a 2019 High Impact Grant to renovate and expand their kitchen. The kitchen is used to cook and serve meals for the seniors and children who participate in their programs. It was amazing to hear how this new kitchen enabled them to serve significantly more meals to those in need, and to listen to the cooks and longtime volunteers who are dedicated to serving this community.
As we enter the heart of Impact San Antonio’s recruitment season, I encourage you to take a look at the projects that Impact San Antonio members have so generously funded. You have all made a difference in this community, and the ripple effects continue on.
