Kelly Hunt joined Impact San Antonio during the Spring 2024 membership drive. She jumped right into serving on a grant review committee and has found the review process to be a very fulfilling adventure. Kelly is also enjoying meeting new people who our outside of her professional life. Learn more about Kelly and finding a connection with women who have a heart for philanthropy.
When and how did you first hear about Impact San Antonio?
A fellow San Antonio community member passed along the membership information to me, and I was so excited to learn about the mission of Impact SA.
When and why did you join?
I joined in April 2024. Impact SA’s commitment to bring together women to make a difference in the community was very appealing to me. I was hoping to contribute financially to an organization that was clearly on mission and effective in its efforts. I was also thankful for the opportunity to meet other women in the community who have a heart for philanthropy as well.
What impresses and inspires you about Impact SA?
Impact SA’s collective giving model is a wonderful way to make an even bigger difference with each member’s donation. I love the well-rounded approach to giving to five focus areas in our wonderful city and the rigorous process that goes into selecting the award recipients. The added bonus that the group empowers women in the community to be leaders and decision-makers makes being a member of Impact SA even more rewarding. Connecting socially with women who have a common purpose is both fulfilling and fun.
How do you plan on being involved with Impact SA?
I have already joined a grant review committee and I hope to volunteer at upcoming events.
What do/did you do for a living?
I am the headmaster at Founders Classical Academy of Schertz, a K-12 tuition-free charter school.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Having grown up in San Antonio, I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn more about the wonderful organizations in our community that are making a difference for those who need it most.
