We caught up with Jessica Knudsen, President and CEO of Clarity Child Guidance Center, to learn more about their new Crisis Assessment Services department and their plans for the future. Clarity is one of Impact SA’s 2025 Support Grant recipients.
After hearing about Impact SA from a friend, Kathy Babb joined Impact SA to learn more about it—and quickly got involved. From grant committees to serving as a liaison during COVID, she loves getting to know local nonprofits and being part of such a welcoming, all-volunteer group. She’s always encouraging friends to check it out, too. When she’s not volunteering, you’ll find her enjoying local events or working on her golf game.
As a nonprofit, Impact San Antonio operates a little differently than a business. We have goals, responsibilities, and big ambitions — but at the heart of everything are volunteers generously giving their time, talents, and energy because they care about this mission. Everyone brings different strengths, different schedules, and different capacities—and somehow, when we all come together, incredible things happen.
Impact San Antonio member Sharon Flanagan Mungo (1939–2025) passed away peacefully at home. A lifelong educator and devoted mother of seven, Sharon’s life was defined by compassion and service. Alongside her husband, she built a beautifully diverse family through adoption and foster care. Her generous spirit left a lasting mark on our community, and her legacy lives on through her beloved children and grandchildren.
